Korine - 'Corsage' 12"

Korine is a duo that many of us discovered, and fell fast in love with during 2020. It was long past due, to hear something this unique, this engaging, and this genuine - from such a gripping source of raw talent and hard work. Maybe it was the pre-release singles for ‘The Night We Raise’ LP (2020), or the repress of ‘New Arrangements’ (2018) that brought us in initially, but we just can’t get enough. For me personally, Korine was also the first artists I watched perform on Twitch stream during the pandemic - and it was something I’ll always remember.

‘Corsage’ is Korine’s EP from 2017, which did see a very short run of cassettes in 2020, which evaporated quickly. Three of the six total tracks on this EP are the beautifully presented first versions of songs later found on ‘New Arrangements’ in new form. The vinyl release also sees the addition of a vinyl only bonus track, never before released: ‘Perfect Blue’.

When visiting with our new friends at Born Losers Records, prior to launching NCV to the public (profusely thanking them for releasing music from the likes of Korine and They/Live), a special thought occurred: the ‘Corsage’ EP on vinyl for the first time! This NCV variant is the outcome of those chats, the fast friendship, and a kind, mutual appreciation.
