Teeel - 'Bob Ross / Stripped' - 7"

This is it! The first ever Night City Vinyl Exclusive color variant! A wonderful selection for such an occasion, Teeel’s Synthy Sevens entry: ‘Bob Ross / Stripped’. This is a wonderful pair of tracks, on a very special ‘Night City Cinder’ exclusive color! Sofa King Vinyl has been doing the Synthy Sevens series now for some time (all available in our shop as well), and this latest installment is an absolute powerhouse of the 7” format.

Side A has a Teeel original track: ‘Bob Ross’, which right away brings forth Teeel’s very unique sound of synthwave. Very retro sounding, a chugging bassline starts things off - with soaring synth leads following suit shortly after. Upon percussion kicking in, you’re safely in a groove already! Well calculated additions that go beyond basic instrumentation (part of Teeel’s signature sound) are fully present, that rewards the listener through the entire track. Melancholy vocals slide in, feeling right at home - and also adding an element of edge…keeping the intriguing soundscape going until the song transitions to one of the best anthem-like, “wrap-ups” I’ve ever heard. Teeel is in top form here, and it’s a pleasure to witness with the ears!

Side B we hear Teeel doing his take on Depeche Mode’s ‘Stripped’ and it is truly a treat! It deserves a wonderful description, and earns a lot of praise - however I believe it’s best heard “fresh”, and will let you hear it for the first time, without influence. It’s Teeel and Depeche Mode…well worth the wait!
